Having completed the day skipper course with Marcus I highly recommend Polka Sailing. The combination of 6 evening classes and a weekend session gave me time to consolidate the information using Polkas own unique online learning modules before the next class. There is a lot of information to take in on the day skipper course, but Marcus has the course well structured. His enthusiastic teaching and support were much appreciated and he has a talent for breaking down, what at first may seem a complicated process, into simple and easy to understand parts- Even the shipping forecast now makes sense! Having now completed my Day Skipper theory and practical with Marcus it is time to share my experience. There is not a person who is more passionate and knowledgable about the whole sailing experience making it very enjoyable whilst always focusing on safety and best practice.
